| Quick Update: *Vacation w/ Peter was very fun and relaxing. *Vacation to Pheonix was exciting. My first commercial plane ride + interesting atmosphere + tons of zoo visits = good time. (- Adrienne being gay of course) *I hope they let me serve full time starting this fall. I also hope Im good enough to make some real money. *Go see Sicko. It's excellent. Also, Transformers was really awesome. *A guy from Morgantown was one of the featured questions on the CNN YouTube Debate. *I want my own house. I really detest my landlord(s?). Plus, I want multiple cats... and a dog. *The end. | | |
| Work is going OK. I pretty much live there and nearly all of my stories come from there. It's a little sad honestly. -lol- I started serving some. Im pretty sure I suck at it. -lol- But, everyone says thats how everyone starts out and since Ive never been trained to serve, I guess Im doing OK. Im home for Andrews graduation. Id say congrats or somethin cliche like that to him here, but let's be honest, graduating from high school isnt that huge of an accomplishment for someone as smart as him. Meh. He's still thinking hes gonna go to Marietta College. Seriously, someone stop him. Someone needs to make him understand going to WVU or WVUP or something makes 10000000x more sense. :( Vacation for Peter and I starts this weeks. Yay. We're going to Gettysburg, Williamsburg, and DC. Ummm... Im also excited for my other vacations + making money + getting a decent internet connect + stuff other than what I can think of now. Thats all. | | |

| WOOT! Done with finals! Done with this worthless semester! Done with excess stress!
Im not gonna lie guys, these past two weeks have been stress city. Dead week: 3 projects + work TWR night = bad idea. This week was worse, naturally. I was atleast smart enough to request work off. I suck at studying so I wasnt really ready for finals. I think I did well enoguh of 3 of 4 of my finals so those classes I should be OK in. In fact, Ive already gotten word I got an A in macro. Woohoo.
Metro Property is a crappy property owner--> dont rent from them. After taking over my complex they have 1) woken me up for a week straight jackhammering outside of my window at 8am. 2) left the parking lot crappy and awful for 2 months 3) removed all but one trash thingy 4) the one trash thing is a mile away from some residents 5) it overflows and is nasty on weekends 6) they pretty much told me "fuck you" when I asked them if they were going to put some of the trash things back in (also, they removed the other trash cans bc they are cheap jerks who didnt want to pay for the extra insurance of the trash truck driving further into the parking lot. the former owners were able to make a profit even with the higher insurance costs of the trucks...) 7) theyre making us put parking stickers on our window that are UGLY and annoying to remove 8) they moved the work out room without informing any of the residents 9) they are gonna make me come to them to get the new key for the room. Seriously, if youre gonna screw with our stuff, you can atleast try and make the change a little bit more convenient. I hate them. The owner is a huge dick.
Im excited for summer. I have 3 vacations planned. The only downside is that Im not sure what to do with Abu while Im away. Meh.
A lot of 'christian' people are really annoying. Like those that say 'everything happens for a reason' when they want to make someone feel better, but then when you point out everything that that deterministic type view implies they get all mad at you. For what? Who knows. The fact of the matter is, they cant discuss it or think about it bc its christianity so it all has to be based on faith-- that means none of it can make sense apparently. Also, be sure not to ask them where some of their beliefs come from. For instance, dont ask to be shown the passage where it says 'no sex before marriage.' They were taught it was wrong so that means it is. Nevermind whether it is actually in the Bible or not. I mean, it might be. Im just saying no one has been able to show me. All ive seen is that if a guy marries a girl who isnt a virgin, he has the right to stone her... Im just not sure that still applies today. Regardless, it doesnt say anything about the guy being a virgin. W/e. Closed minded, ridiculous people... of which I used to be one.
Ummm.... Im so excited for summer. I wish loans and scholarships werent so annoyingly (stupidly) set up. I think Adrienne and Andrew are both gonna live up here next yr. Thats fun. It's like the whole family. Finally, Im excited to go home and see the meesh. <3 that kitty. Thats all- hope you enjoyed.

In other news, Im officially ready for troops in Iraq to come home.
There was an article in the school paper Thursday encouraging the new WVU president to be proud of the drinking culture here in Morgantown. It was about the saddest, most pathetic article ever. Seriously, telling the guy its OK and "doesnt hurt anyone" while at the same time joking about the ridiculously drunk kids throwing up on the bus on the way home to Towers... it is just pathetic. And guess what buddy, there are plenty of students that are proud of more than just the drinking and athletics.
Also in the DA yesterday was an article about the Supreme Court's ruling regarding 'partial-birth' abortions. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but do not fake a non-bias, 'let's come together across party lines' msg while at the same time spouting your liberal, one-sided views. I absolutely hate it when people do that- try to make the other side look unreasonable by faking some semi-non-bias msg in the midst of a totally bias article. At the very least, you could attempt to be honest.
